Tha Carter IV Sells 964K
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV has officially sold 964,000 copies in its first week in stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The whopping total makes Tha Carter IV the highest-selling rap album since 2008's Tha Carter III which moved slightly over 1 million copies in its first week on shelves.
Tha Carter IV also broke the record for highest first weeks sales on iTunes with 345,000 downloads from the internet music store.
C4 will inevitably take the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart, released later today.
