MLK Memorial Dedication Rescheduled For October 16th

The Martin Luther King Memorial dedication ceremony in D.C. was supposed to happen on August 28th but due to Hurricane Irene, it is being pushed back to October 16th.

President Barack Obama was scheduled to speak on the August date which is also the 48th anniversary of King’s “I Have A Dream” speech.

Instead the ceremony will take place on the 16th anniversary of another historic event, The Million Man March.

Obama is on deck to speak again at the memorial in Washington D.C according to Executive Architect Ed Jackson.
