Miss Angola Leila Lopes took the crown of Miss Universe last night at the annual competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lopes, 25, is the first woman from Angola to take home the crown and has promised to join the fight against HIV/AIDS in her country.

The stunning standout was a crowd favorite and wowed the audience in a beaded strapless gown.

During the Q&A portion of the competition she shined in front of judges that included Real Housewives’ Adrienne Maloof and actress Vivica A. Fox.

Lopes was asked by the judges if she could change one of her physical attributes what would it be, to which she responded,

“Thank God I’m very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn’t change a thing. I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life.”

Angola beat out second runner-up Miss Brazil and first runner-up Miss Ukraine for the crown.
