Rick Ross Talks Seizures On 106 & Park

Since suffering two seizures last month Rick Ross made his first T.V. appearance on BET’s 106 & Park. Rozay recounted to Rocsi and Terrance J what happened on that fateful plane ride and explained what triggered the seizures.

“I was going about my business. I boarded the flight and on the flight I had a seizure, and when I snapped out of it, they told me what had happened. I’m like, ‘You buggin’. Call a jet. We finna keep it movin’,” he begins.

“Understand me growing up and hearing about seizures, they can be violent, you bust vessels, you bite your tongue, and in my case, it wasn’t none of that. I felt a little wore out, but I felt like I could keep going and that’s what it was. I boarded a jet and I had another seizure, and when I snapped out of that one, I woke up in front of a doctor. He actually said, ‘When was the last time you slept eight hours?’ And I said, ‘Man, it had to be at least five years.’”

The Maybach Music Group CEO says his long work hours put his health at risk, but assures us that his hospital exams only enforced that he was in good health.

While he will be taking it easy for a recovery period, Ross says that will have to wait until he finishes one of his biggest collaborations to date, with none other than Jay-Z.

“Against the doctor’s orders, as soon as I got home, I’m supposed to be on bed rest, but actually me and Jay-Z finished the biggest collaboration that we’ve ever done together for my album.”

During his hospitalization, Rozay recieved a slew of letters from fans, fellow artists and even 50 Cent.

“If it was genuine, I appreciate it,” said Rozay.

Ironically, Ross also emphasized the importance of putting one’s health before anything.

“It makes no sense to become a multi-millionaire and not be here to enjoy it with your family and loved ones, so I’ma stay focused and I’ma make sure I do the right thing.”
