Soulja Boy Sues Ex- Manager, Claims His "Stupidity Was Exploited"
Soulja Boy Sues Manager Over "Unjust" Contracts
Cry me a river.
Deandre Way a/k/a Soulja Boy is suing his ex-manger/lawyer Philip Ransom, claiming he was exploited and taken advantage of with an unscrupulous contract he signed at 16.
According to TMZ, one contract's stipulations included a Management deal that gave Ransom 5% of Soulja Boy's income forever in regards to work completed under his management.
Calling the deals "Unconscionable, oppressive, and just" , Soulja is also pissed because one deal he signed allegedly gave 50% of all his music copyrights to his label which Deandre calls "commercially unreasonable."
Ransom denies the allegations and filed new legal documents claiming Soulja's lawsuit in unjustified, and still owes him money.
The contracts Soulja Boy signed are also said to be industry standard.
