Future Performs “Tony Montana” At 49ers vs. Saints Game

Prior to the release of Future’s latest mixtape, Astronaut Status, he blazed the airwaves with his hit “Tony Montana.” While the record was a smash, and used as a “freestyle”  instrumentals by many MC’s, it has become a theme song for the San Francisco 49ers.

The song is being used to ignite the 49ers’ special teams unit. Montana fired the team up so much, that they are known as “The Tony Montana Squad” and its effect was highlighted in a report by 49ers.com.

“By the midpoint of the regular season, the 49ers special teams units adopted a signature song for kickoffs. Whenever Future’s ‘Tony Montana’ began to play at Candlestick Park, the song immediately fueled the energy of the kickoff teams and in turn, the whole squad.”

Naturally, this created an opening for Future to appear live at the teams Divisional Playoff matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The Niners ended up winning a thrilling game to advance to the NFC Championship, one game away from the Super Bowl. Below we have two videos of the team and fans, actually reacting to the song being played throughout the stadium, as well as pictures of Future’s performance.
