Akai MPC Fly Turns Your iPad 2 Into A Sampler
Carrying around a classic Akai MPC sampler to bang out some beats just got a whole lot easier. The Akai MPC Fly music production controller features a case, and corresponding MPC Fly iPad App, that makes all the tried and true features of the MPC (sampling, sequencing, MIDI control) available on your iPad 2.
The hinged case features the recognizable 16 drum pads, which are also backlit, which along with the app turns your iPad into a true production workstation. That's 88-Keys, who produced "No Church In The Wild" for Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne, putting the Akai MPC Fly to use in the video below.
Fruity Loops can't do that. According to Gizmodo, the Akai MPC Fly should be in stores by the middle of the year.
