While Noah “40” Shebib, 29, has been making hit music with his frequent collaborator Drake, the Toronto producer has also been battling multiple sclerosis. 40 was diagnosed with MS, a disease which hampers the ability of nerves in the brain and spine to communicate, when he was just 22 years-old. CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta ran a profile that chronicles how 40, the man responsible for songs like Drake’s “Successful” and “Miss Me,” has dealt with his affliction.

“I’ve got this disease, I’m going to live with it, I’m going to win with it,” says Shebib. “And my story is going to be that much better when I get there.”

Besides banging out beats for Drizzy, 40 is a spokesman for the National MS society. Watch CNN’s profile of 40 below.
