The Making of Big K.R.I.T.’s Live From The Underground [VIDEO]

Big K.R.I.T. has had a great last couple of years but the past two couple of weeks may be even better. The Mississippi rapper finally dropped his debut album, Live From The Underground, on June 5th and yesterday the record came in at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B Hip-Hop Albums and #1 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart with 41,000 copies sold its first week.

Not bad for an artist that’s been giving away his music away to fans for free. Steve-Ography has been chronicling K.R.I.T.’s journey and in this 10 minute documentary offers a glimpse into Live From The Underground’s recording process. The doc is worth looking at just to peep B.B. King, who is featured on “Praying Man,” get busy on Lucille and to see footage the infamous time K.R.I.T. got booed in NYC.

NYC is cheering now.
