L.A. rap group OverDoz has wrapped up their humorous, reality web series Blunn!TV. In what appears to be their home, the "dested," eclectic rap band were praised for their work by Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams, via Skype, who listed some of his favorite songs from the group. OverDoz weren't without compliments either, giving the renaissance man props and credit for their musical style as well as OutKast. The BBC head honcho dittoed their sentiments, saying, "This is the first thing that's felt good to me since Outkast, and that's what I describe it as when I play it to people. I love it man."
Continuing his praise for the group, Skateboard P that's he's been, "Waiting for somebody to come in and reinvent the movement, swag their personality just like what OutKast was. OutKast was...at that time when everybody had they backpacks on, those ni--as still kept it hood, and that's what I get out the music that ya'll making."
Later, the group links up with Pharrell in the studio to hear what he had incubating in the lab. Needless to say, the beats were fresh, and if a collaboration between Pharrell and OverDoz occurs, they'll most likely be one of the biggest breakthrough artists to emerge from the west coast since Black Hippy.
