Now that the mixtapes have run their course, Tyga unveils new visuals for “Dope,” the first single from his forthcoming album Hotel California. The track interpolates patented gentleman’s club friendly hi-hat and synths the YMCMB rapper is known for with the bass line and chords used on Dr. Dre and Snoop’s “Deep Cover,” giving it that straight West Coast sound.

A feature from Rick Ross is the final portion to the cut’s equation. The protagonist in the visuals pulls an 187 on an undercover cop, which leads to a high octane chase scene. Somehow, shots of Tyga and Rozay sporting enough fur to enrage PETA have a place in the video as well. Guess there’s nothing wrong with not-so-humble stunting when necessary.

While there’s no word when Hotel California will officially drop, it’s set to hit stores some time this year.  Aside from the aforementioned Rozay, features on the project will include Young Money cohort Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa and  Chris Brown.
