A former teachers’ aide in Brooklyn pleaded guilty to making a dirty film with a child as the star, the New York Post reports. Taleek Brooks, confirmed his guilt in a New York court earlier today, admitting to filming a child engaging in self-pleasure at PS 243, in the Crown Heights section of the borough.

“I was responsible for the filming of a minor m**turbating,” he told Brooklyn federal Magistrate Judge Roanne Mann.

In addition to making the film, Brooks posted his footage online, and that of an adult s*xually assaulting a child, via a file sharing website. One of the people he sent the recording to was an undercover FBI agent. Federal investigators uncovered over 1,000 digital files at Brooks home, featuring children as young as 10 posing for provocative photos. Finding the evidence led to an FBI probe which included interviews with school staff, parents, and students. In the end, authorities concluded that Brooks was mol*sting children left in his care, and arrested him last year.

City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott called news of Brooks’ actions “deeply troubling.”

Brooks, worked with a small section of the school designated for special-educaiton students. He was employed at PS 243 for nearly 20 years, and faces a separate  criminal case, in which he was slapped with two counts of s*xual contact with a child, and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor

The 42-year-old is looking at anywhere from 15 to 50 years behind bars. He will be sentenced this summer.
