Director Kareem Fort is a preparing a Hip-Hop documentary titled DEMOS: An Independent Artist’s Guide To Success that boasts a host of notable MCs detailing the grinds of the indie life. Expect an equally impressive line up on the soundtrack, from which we receive the first offering with “The Get Up” by The Barrel Brothers, better known as Skyzoo and Torae.
Anyone knowledgeable on these Brooklyn natives know to expect lyricism at its finest. The raw beat is comprised of an echoing loop and synths that bring out raw emotion from the Duck Down rappers. So much so that it’ll make listeners wonder when this Barrell Brothers album gonna happen.
DEMOS (the film) will premiere live online on May 22 exclusively at DailyMotion.com. The accompanying soundtrack will release the same day, and will don appearances by Rapper Big Pooh, Planet Asia, Tanya Morgan, King Mez, Truck North, Supastition, and more.
