John Legend is one of the few artist that lets their music do the talking, consistently. After delivering two mellow jams with “The Beginning” and “Who Do We Think We Are,” he returns today with a much more powerful cut called “Made To Love.”

Beautiful chords echo over masterful percussion and soulful claps that are very reminiscent to those heard on Jamie xx’s remix to Adele’s “Rolling In the Deep.” Only the hip folks would know that, of course.

In past interviews, Legend’s shared that Kanye West has been heavily involved in the creation of his latest material. That said, the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind’s influence is apparent on this one.

Be sure not to let the sonically marvelous record overshadow Legend’s vocals. Those are right on the money, too.

“Made To Love” is the third effort set to appear on the Grammy winning crooner’s forthcoming album Love in the Future, due out September 3. His two previously released songs from the project were quality, but ultimately didn’t make the  expected impact on the charts. Perhaps this will change with “Made To Love.”

Check out the slow groove below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
