Backed by hits such as “Promises” and the undeniably dope “We Dem Boyz,” Wiz Khalifa’s fifth studio album Blacc Hollywood as reached the top of the Billboard Charts.

It’s the first time the Pittsburgh high flyer has reached the apex on the charts after enduring a couple of close calls in his discography.

Via Billboard:

The album, which was released Aug. 19, sold 90,000 copies in the week ending Aug. 24, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Blacc Hollywood follows two No. 2-peaking albums from Khalifa: Rolling Papers and O.N.I.F.C., which were released in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Khalifa also bounds in at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and the Rap Albums chart.

In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Young Khalifa shared his aspirations to have this album be viewed upon like a Michael Jackson and/or a Prince project. This is obviously a step in the right direction.

You can keep the streak alive by supporting on iTunes.

Next mission: going platinum.
