Here’s your daily dose of racism in ‘Murica. A volunteer firefighter just had his house burned down to the ground, because he’s Black.
Kenneth Walker of North Tonawanda, N.Y is the town’s only Black firefighter. But being a small speck in the department was obviously a big problem for some members of the community. So much that they sent him a threatening letter demanding that he step down from his position.
The letter read:
“N**gers are not allowed to be firefighters. No one wants you in this city. You have until the end of the week to resign your position or you will … regret it. N**GER.”

Despite the threat, Walker refused the demand and continued to serve his community.
Then his house got set on fire.
