After squashing their beef in February 2011, Wale and Kid Cudi have put their differences aside to record “Focused,” set to be included on the former’s upcoming sophomore album Ambition, dropping November 1st.

During a listening session in New York City, New York, the Maybach Music Group member told MTV News that their beef grew from circumstance.

“We’re 23 years old at this time, we’re trying to figure it all out. We went from not having sh– to having money at our disposal, so it kind of  Fawked up our friendship. He doesn’t smoke as much anymore, but his name is Scott.”

He next heard from Cudi via his 2010 interview with Complex Magazine that sparked the beef, with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper stating, “We don’t Fawk with you, musically.”

The two mended fences over Twitter earlier this year, which prompted them to get on the phone to apologize.

” I was like, ‘Sup, man, how you been?’ He said, ‘I been good, man. I just wanted to get right to it: I know I’ve been acting kind of Fawked up and weird,’ and this that and a third and all that other personal sh–. He threw that out there, and we just made amends. The next morning, he called me like, ‘I just wanted to let you know I wasn’t high or anything when I called you. I really meant it.”
