Update: President of Chicago School Board’s Death Ruled A Suicide

An autopsy report has revealed that the President of the Chicago School board, Michael Scott committed suicide.

His body was found yesterday floating in the Chicago River only hours after visiting his sister in an assisted living center.

He was found near Chicago’s merchandise mart in the River North neighborhood with a single gunshot wound to the left temple.

Several people have spoken out about the loss of the well-known administrator including his good friend, Reverend Jesse Jackson and chief executive of the Chicago public schools, Ron Huberman who said,

“We are heartbroken and saddened by the unspeakable tragedy. Michael Scott’s commitment to Chicago public schools, and especially to our schoolchildren, was longstanding.”

Scott’s family is currently in the process of making arrangements.

Such a sad, sad story.
