Yesterday in New York City, Snoop Dogg held a press conference in Miss Lily’s restaurant and announced his transformation into Snoop Lion. Honestly, it did sound like one elaborate practical joke but after seeing this trailer and hearing Snoop tell it himself, it’s quite real and endearing. “I wanted to make music that feels good. I wanted to perform for kids and my grandparents,” Snoop said at the press conference. “Rap is not a challenge to me… They can’t f**k with me in rap”
VICE & Snoopadelic Films take us on a journey following Snoop as he goes to Jamaica to record the REINCARNATED album with Diplo. Snoop is embraced by the locals and the culture of the island. The doc will be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival September 7th.
