It may be a tad bit later than usual, but XXL magazine has finally revealed its Freshman Class 2013 cover.
This year’s class includes Trinidad Jame$, Joey Bada$$, Logic, Action Bronson, Kirko Bangz, Travi$ Scott, Dizzy Wright and Angel Haze. The TDE camp landed two artists in the mix with Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q. Also, Chief Keef snuck in as the “11th Freshman”—XXL says they’ll explain that soon.
Back in January, the Hip-Hop magazine revealed the candidates for the cover. Some notable names that didn’t make the cut, and were up for a spot, include King L, Hit-Boy, Mr. MFN eXquire and Casey Veggies.
Last year’s XXL Freshman class consisted of Machine Gun Kelly, Danny Brown, Kid Ink, Future, Roscoe Dash, Hopsin, Macklemore, Don Trip, Iggy Azalea and French Montana. Interestingly, French Montana fur vest with the matching bear head hoodie got an ample amount of publicity, too.
