If you’re going to drop over $500,000 on a Lamborghini, the least you can do is spring for a driver’s license. Police in London seized a Qatar owners extravagant glow-in-the-dark purple Lamborghini Aventador for not having the proper paperwork.
The vehicle, retailing for £350,000 (or $532,175.00), was stopped near Harrod’s Wednesday (June 26). The owner is 24-year-old Nasser Al-Thani, who just happens to be royalty. Al-Thani’s is a member of Qatar’s ruling family.
With the deep paint job, and bright orange patterns, a crowd quickly formed when Al-Thani was pulled over driving with no license or insurance.
Police seized the Lambo.
“It is great when the wealthy foreign tourists come over to London every summer as you always see these amazing supercars,” a witness said. ‘The Lamborghini looked like something out of Tron, it was absolutely stunning.”
The Al-Thani family is known for their car collection, which includes the Koenigsegg CCXR “Special One,” Lamborghini LP 670-4 SV, and the Pagani Zonda “Uno.”
