Even though Jay Z has spilled much of his life throughout his music, there are just some things that keep us talking. From his past as a drug dealer, to his most public moments while on his way to becoming a Hip-Hop legend, to those rumors that he just can’t dodge, people want to know more.

Hova’s Black Book autobiography was supposed to shed light on some of topics, but it was indefinitely shelved, leaving us still wondering. As Jay Z continues to remain for the most part guarded about his private life, we still have a million and one questions.

Flip through the next pages to see 11 Jay Z  related controversies that have been answered (in rhyme) but continue to follow Hov wherever he goes.

Even though Dame Dash and Jay Z flicked it up earlier this year, we are still super curious to know what was the internal, off the record timeline of their their split that only insiders truly know.

Former friend DeHaven Irby made a lot noise when he jumped out of the window by accusing Hov of leaving him naked after being released from prison. Jay Z did respond vaguely on “No Hook” (“So f— DeHaven for caving, that’s why we don’t speak.”) but the nature of the beef was never explained and DeHaven hasn’t been heard from since.

So for years we have all wondered what was the real cause of the disses Jay Z and Ma$e traded in the 1990’s. Come to find out it was over a female named Arion. While Murda did make this grand reveal to Sway, we still believe there might have been some other factors that started this secret war.

We guess the slogan Roc La Familia only went so far. During Beanie Sigel’s one of many court troubles, the judge asked Jay Z to vouch for Beans, which may have gotten the Philly rapper an earlier release. Jay was not interested in doing that as explained by former Roc videographer Choke No Joke.

Beans is currently in the bing, so that’s that.

When the news of Jay Z allegedly stabbing Lance “Un” Rivera broke, it was reported that it was over the bootlegging of Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter. Later on Cam’ron revealed it was actually over rapstress Charli Baltimore. But Hov has yet to really comment on their relationship, or lack thereof.

One of Jay’s other street pals from his past was Calvin “Klein” Bacote who was famously name checked on “Allure” (“I never felt more alive than riding shotgun / In Klein’s green 5, until the cops pulled guns.”). Surprisingly they never hooked up in the same manner once Calvin came home from jail.

Even though Memphis Bleek and Jay Z remained super close to this day, the rumor is that Memphis Bleek was not invited to Jay’s wedding.

For the longest a pesky internet rumor of Jay getting knocked up side his head with a champagne bottle by Terror Squad has followed the rapper. Former TS rapper Cuban Linx cleared things up on what really went down but Fat Joe left us back at square one when he gave an unclear response at a recent interview with The Breakfast Club.

We were first introduced to Jay Z via Jaz-O but Jigga eventually turned Jaz into the grand daddy of struggle rappers since their friendship ended. Apparently Jaz didn’t want to sign a contract whose  amount he considered to be disrespectfully low.

We all know Nas and Jay are on better terms, but we would have loved to be have been a fly on the wall when Hov first heard “Ether”. Additionally Carmen Bryan has recently started to spill more tidbits on their infamous tryst.

The most ridiculous accusation is that Jay Z is a part of a secret society called the Illuminati. Apparently this secret cabal masterminds events and places agents in high power positions to gain further political power and influence with a desired endgame of a one world government. Jigga has laughed off this notion to the point where he is insulted by it as he stated in “Free Mason” (“They put the devil on me / I would have preferred ni—s squeeze the metal on me”).
