Dom Kennedy opted for a fall release rather than his usual summer time frame for his upcoming album, Get Home Safely. With the in-store date firmly set for October 15, the Leimert Park rhymer unveils two versions of artwork for his second retail LP.
One cover features a the title written in a special font containing illustrated art on a black background. The second shows the image — a Black Panther-inspired piece — contained in the lettering on the first.
Get Home Safely will be sold at Best Buy as part of an unprecedented distribution deal struck directly with the chain that cut out record distributors, American Distribution Alliance and Fontana. Clap for that.
Dom Kennedy’s smooth single, “South Central Love,” will appear on the project. The art can be seen below and on the following page.
