Today (April 2) a massive amount of people descended on the Supreme store in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood to line up for an opportunity to purchase the streetwear brand’s Nike Air Foamposite 1 collaboration tomorrow. However, due to safety issues, the in-store release has been cancelled.
Instagram user angryblak posted an image of makeshift sign placed in the Supreme storefront announcing the struggle. “Foamposite X Supreme Release Cancelled Due To Public Safety By NYPD,” reads the sign.
Those hoping to land a pair of the coveted kicks better make sure their Internet connection is on point tomorrow at 11:00am when the shoes become available online. We wouldn’t bank on that server holding for long, though.
Check out Supreme’s official statement on the flip.
