Fridays are reserved for solid tunes around these parts. That said, lend an ear to The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week, a list we’ve assembled for your listening pleasure.
There’s something for everyone in this audio compilation. Tunes range from thoughtful to trap-influenced to simply too difficult to categorize. But each are dope and dynamic in their own way. One record comes courtesy of a DMV newcomer that’s been buzzing as of late. Another isn’t quite Hip-Hop, but it’s written and performed by an artist whose career is already shaping up to be major.
Needless to say that you’ll enjoy what’s in store after the jump. Get your weekly earful via The Wrap Up and be sure to let us know if we missed anything in the comments.

10. Sango & Goldlink – “Wassup”
Producer: Sango
The verdict is still out on if Washington D.C. newcomer Goldlink is the real deal, but this tune is a stone cold groove.
9. OG Che$$ – “Remember Me”
Producer: Manny Davison
Jill Scott heads will recognize the familiar instrumental, but it’s Che$$’ bitter sh*t talk that’s the spotlight here.
8. Rome Fortune ft. PeeWee Longway & ShoMo – “Get That”
Producer: Dun Deal
There’s all kinds of vibes on this new track from the bubbling ATLien. That alone makes it a stone cold groove.
7. Mac Miller – “Walkin’ Home”
Producer: Nottz
The Macadellic one properly treated this batch of boom-bap greatness from the sorely underrated Virginia producer.
6. Pharoahe Monch ft. DJ Revolution – “Get Down” (Prod. by M-Phazes)
Producer: M-Phazes
Despite having just released an album, Pharoahe had extra bars to spit on this soulful cut.
5. Skyzoo & Torae – “Blue Yankee Fitted”
Producer: !llmind
This is what we call “dem bars and dem beats”; nothing more, nothing less.
4. PeeWee Longway ft. A$AP Rocky – “Servin Lean (Remix)”
Producer: Honorable C Note
Ignorance is just what this song is, but we challenge you to find a record released this past week that sounds better on a Friday night with a drink in your hand.
3. Hit-Boy ft. Big Hit, Audio Push, Kent, B. Carr, B-Mac The Queen & Kent M$ney – “Grindin’ My Whole Life”
Producer: Hit-Boy & Hazebanga
Let this be further proof that HS87 are quietly dropping heat. We suggest that you hop on this gravy train early.
2.BOOTS ft. Beyoncé – “Dreams”
Producer: BOOTS
A few loose releases properly indicates that this Roc Nation singer-songwriter and producer could have a big 2014.
1. Ab-Soul – “Tree of Life”
Producer: Curtiss King
It’s all about the bounce on the latest lyrical depiction from TDE’s resident Black Lipped Pastor.
