By now we all know that Solange used her limbs (and purse) to unleash some physical fury on Jay Z after the Met Gala last week. Judging by how fast she lost it, Jay’s sister-in-law was already heated when those elevator doors opened.
This means that the anger wound could’ve been fresh, or that she had some pent-up frustration against Papa Hov, and she let it all out. But an elevator isn’t the best place to communicate those feelings — especially not with your feet.
Nevertheless, Jigga caught a fresh fade at one of the biggest events in fashion, one that the whole world has now seen. Family business should stay behind closed doors, but the leak of this fight tape shows us just how intrusive celebrity culture has become. It also shows that the New York newspapers should chill with the cliché headers, Jay Z is working with has catlike reflexes and the inner restraint of a zen master.
