If you’re a fan of the Air Jordan 3, you better cop some sooner than later. Reportedly, Jordan Brand is halting production of the popular model, at least temporarily.
Reports Hypebeast:
Jordan Brand‘s Vice President of Footwear, David Schechter has announced that the Air Jordan 3 model will go back into the vault, with the “Sport Blue” rendition being the last colorway to drop. While it is unlikely to be a permanent decision, plans for the iconic silhouette will be halted until further notice, perhaps in anticipation for the Remastered line launching in Spring 2015. Although a plethora of variations for the model have released over the past year, news of the sneaker officially being cut will come as a surprise to many, as the signature shoe is one of the more popular silhouettes in the catalog.
Many people consider the Air Jordan 3 to be Michael Jordan’s greatest signature shoe of all time, and Jordan Brand has benefited by re-releasing the shoe in both OG and all-new colorways.
Is this a good thing or bad thing for the sneaker game? One things is for certain; re-sell prices are about to go up.
