The No Limit tank rides again. Silkk The Shocker visited The Breakfast Club to address some speculation and give some much needed updates.

As a member of Tru and a star player on No Limit Records, The Shocker returns. Even though his legacy leaves much to be desired, his influence on the culture can’t be denied.

DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God got Silkk to discuss the 90’s, rapping off beat on purpose, his 10 year hiatus and more.

So we present the top 8 things we learned from The Breakfast Club Silkk The Shocker interview. Do you agree on his reasoning on why No Limit passed on Eminem? Sound off in the comments section below.

1. Hiatus

After moving so fast with No Limit Records, he got burned out. He took a 10 year break to enjoy his life and make some business moves.

2. Rapping

Silkk rapped off beat on purpose.

3. Master P

He admits that his older brother Master P was like a father figure to him growing up and thanked him for getting his family away from the New Orleans streets.

4. Rivalry

When asked if the No Limit Records roster was competitive he surprisingly said no. All he wanted to be is good at his craft.

5. Eminem

He also admitted why No Limit passed on Eminem. Silkk said even though Em was super lyrical, they didn’t know what to do with a White MC.

6. Hot Boyz

The 2000 film Hot Boyz was based on Silkk’s life.

7. Cash Money

When asked if the beef between No Limit Records and Cash Money Records was that serious he said no. Given the hostility in New Orleans at that time, Silkk said someone would have been hurt if the beef was that serious.

8. Mya

Silkk has not spoken to Mya in many years and seemed to be glad things are that way.
