In continued celebration of the Nike Air Force 1’s 30th anniversary, Nike Sportswear has opened a pop-up shop in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Called Pivot Point, the retail location will be open for a limited time and is a destination for all things Air Force 1.
The space’s aesthetics are inspired by the Air Force 1 itself, particular the new Nike Lunar Force 1. The aforementioned shoe combines Lunarlon cushioning in the midsole and Hyperfuse construction in the upper to create a much lighter and technically advanced AF1.
For sale in the Pivot Point store are Nike Lunar Force 1s, Nike+ fuelbands and Nike Bespoke, the appointment only design experience also found at other select Nike stores like 21 Mercer. Also in the Barclays Center’s plaza (between the entrance and the train station) is a large, LED lit Nike Air Force 1 30th Anniversary “shoebox” where visitors rocking AF1s will be quickly granted the opportunity to take pictures inside that can be immediately shared on social media.
Pivot Point, located at 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, is already open daily from 12pm to 7pm, but it’s last day will be December 23rd. Check out photos of the shop and detailed images of the Nike Lunar Force 1 in the gallery.
