Who Is Kalamazoo Shooter Jason Dalton? [PHOTOS]
Over the weekend, gunman Jason Dalton drove through Kalamazoo County in Michigan and unleashed a fatal shooting spree that left six people dead and two others seriously injured. As authorities continue to investigate the matter, a few facts about Dalton have emerged in this still-developing story.
Dalton’s wave of terror began on Saturday (Feb. 20) at 5:24 when he opened fired on a mother standing in front of her children. The victim is expected to survive. Four hours later, Dalton drove to a car dealership in the county and killed a father and son. Shortly after, Dalton drove to a Cracker Barrel restaurant and opened fire, killing four women and injuring a 14-year-old girl.
Two hours after the Cracker Barrel shooting, police arrested Dalton, 45, without incident. He is to be arraigned in court today (Feb. 22) and faces a possible six counts of murder charges, two counts of assault with intent to murder, and eight counts of using a firearm while committing a felony act. Police say that they have not determined a motive and the shootings were apparently random.

Dalton Was Driving For Uber During Attack
According to reports from CNN and the Detroit Free Press, Dalton was allegedly picking up passengers for Uber during his attack. One man claims he took Uber because he heard news of Dalton’s attack and decided it was safer than walking but ended up in Dalton’s vehicle.
Dalton Seemed Like Normal Family Man To Neighbors
According to Dalton’s neighbors, he appeared to be a normal married father of two children. However, one neighbor noted to CNN that Dalton was into guns.
He Has No Criminal Record And Cleared A Background Check
Police say Dalton was unknown to them prior to the shooting incident. Uber says he cleared a background check prior to driving for the service.
