The new and official Luke Cage trailer is here, and Marvel’s hood pass is indisputable. 

The setting is Harlem, and its defender is Luke Cage, who happens to be bulletproof and can even use car doors to deliver fades.

This image alone should let you know how show runner Cheo Hodari Coker is seriously doing this #ForTheCulture.

The Black superhero is played by Mike Colter and the cast includes Mahershala Ali (Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple). Yes, Dawson’s character is the same one from Marvel’s Daredevil.

Luke Cage finally hits Netflix on September 30.
