Even if Allen Iverson himself were to never play a game of basketball again, his Reebok Question sneakers would get plenty of run. A.I.’s debut signature shoe will dropping in this very ill, in a good way, black and gold colorway on Saturday, December 29.
These retros originally released in 2006, to mark the 10th anniversary of one of Reebok’s best selling sneakers ever. The irony is that while killing it in the Big East, Bubba Chuck rocked Nikes, particularly the Air Jordan XI Concords that still sell out in minutes. Nevertheless, once he wen’t pro, Reebok signed the VA native to a lifetime deal that is still reaping rewards for both. Considering Iverson’s recent money woes, those Reebok checks are coming in handy.
With Swizz Beatz doing his best to elevate the OG brand’s recognition in the sneaker market, bringing this colorway back was an easy decision. The shoe is mostly black with a leather upper, patent leather toebox and gold accents throughout including the logo on the heel and tongue tab. Hexalite cushioning also makes for a smooth ride.
The shoes will be available at Foot Locker, as well as Finish Line, Jimmy Jazz and Reebok.com for $125. Check out photos of the Reebok Question Mid “Black/Gold” in the gallery.
