The queen of R&B Soul, Mary J. Blige, recently released her new album Stronger With Each Tear and was spotted in New York celebrating its forthcoming success.
During this time at an album release party she was reported as getting into a physical altercation with husband Kendu Issacs.
Sources reported to the New York Post that the couple had been seen at a club arguing after Blige accused him of flirting with a waitress.
Mary reportedly struck him in the face drawing blood and then taunted him saying,
“What are you gonna do? Chris Brown me?!”
Now after that explosive report hit newsstands, Ms. MJB is enlisting damage control to clear her name.
Mary released a statement through her publicist denying the allegations saying,
“People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re as happy as can be. They’re spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything’s great.”
So there you have it, Mary’s publicist says there was no fight.
Is it just me or does this statement seem very vague??? Hmmmm…interesting.
