Lil Wayne did lots more than going off on a cameraman during a Super Bowl event this weekend, he also met some of his fans.
The Grammy award winner was in his hometown for the big game Sunday and stopped off at a local Macy’s for a Trukfit fan meet-and-greet over the weekend.
Weezy announced the release of his Trukfit skater-inspired contemporary streetwear clothing line in 2011, and has teamed with the clothing retail giant to sale the items.
Rocking a custom tie-dyed Trukfit denim shirt, Trukfit shorts, and socks, the father of four signed photographs for 100 fans. Those onsite also enjoyed music from his YMCMB crew, spun by DJ Slab 1 of New Orleans’ Q93 radio station.
In addition to meeting Wayne, fans were also allowed to shop from Trukfit’s spring collection.
While making the media rounds, Wayne admitted to not watching his artist, Nicki Minaj, on this season of American Idol. “She knows me…it’s kind of like a catfight where be going back and forth type of things, I’m not into all that,” he said.
