NBA All-Star Weekend is officially underway in Houston, Texas. Athletes, Entertainers and fans are all convening to the Lone Star State to take in the most popular All-Star event in all of the major pro sports.

Nothing in professional sports compares to All-Star weekend. The pageantry and the showmanship of the game is bigger than that of the Pro Bowl, MLB and NHL’s All-Star Game. Starting on Friday night with the All-Star celebrity game and the Rising Stars Challenge, the curtain really comes up on Saturday when they show you what the game is all about.

Between the Shooting Stars Challenge, Skills Challenge, Three Point Shootout and the usually amazing dunk contest, the NBA does it big. This all culminates with All-Star Game Sunday Night.

HIp-Hop Wired takes a look into the future and predicts what we think will happen during All-Star Weekend in Houston, TX.

NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP: Usain Bolt

It is quite possible that the best athlete throughout the entire weekend will be competing in the Celebrity game. The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt will be playing tonight and if he has even an ounce of game, you can give him the MVP trophy now.

BBVA Rising Stars Challenge: Team Shaq

In an exhibition like this one, the running and gunning will be on full tilt. Shaq’s boderline unfair lineup of Kyrie Irving, Damien Lillard, Chandler Parsons, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and Dion Waters. This one might get ugly.

BBVA Rising Stars Challenge MVP: Damien Lillard

Kyrie Irving will be the best player on the court, but with a busy weekend for the young Cavaliers guard, he might be pacing himself for an All-Star showcase. That leads hot shot rookie, Damien Lillard available to put em up all day long.

2013 Sears Shooting Stars: Team Harden

Russell Westbrook and James Harden will team up once again in the shooting stars representing the Western Conference, but when all the marbles are on the line Harden’s team will win it. With Tina Thompson holding her own, Sam “I Am” Cassell joins the bearded one. Hopefully we can get a hilarious “big balls” dance if he hits a bit shot.

2013 Taco Bell Skills Challenge: Tony Parker

Tony Parker is the older fellow out of the group, but he’s still the favorite to defend his Skills competition. He’s still faster and more skilled than anybody in the field.

2013 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest: Steve Novak

The winner of the shootout isn’t usually the best outside shooter in the field, it is the one who can get off the most shots. Luckily, Novak’s quick release makes him fit both bills. Golden State’s Stephen Curry might make him sweat, but look out for that discount triple check in Houston.

2013 Sprite Slam Dunk: James White

How can we put this lightly? James White is one of the greatest dunkers who has ever lived. Point blank. If he can still get up, and it looks like he can, clear for takeoff and then hand him the MVP.

NBA All-Star Game presented by Kia: Eastern Conference.

Whoever has #6 on their team right now is going to win. It’s that simple, lately. LeBron James has been on a legendary tear as of late and if he feels like willing his team to win in a game that “doesn’t count,” hell do it and drag every All-Star to the winner’s circle with him.

NBA All-Star Game MVP: Kyrie Irving

When Rajon Rondo went down with a season-ending injury, it opened the door for Kyrie Irving to possibly start his first All-Star game. The second-year pro has been all buckets this year and if he gets that majority of the point guard burn, he’s going to do damage. Bank on it.

Groupies

The ultimate winners of All Star Weekend, of course, is the groupies. It’s always the groupies. Be smart, young millionaires. Today’s All Star night can turn into tomorrow’s VH1 reality show very fast.
