First and foremost, “Conversations On That Brown” is an awesome title for a song. It also perfectly describes the vibe on up and comer Scotty‘s latest track, featuring Trinidad Jame$. Built on the premise that dark liquor brings out the truth, Scotty raps “respect is all I ask, something brown in my glass” to kick off a verse that sounds more like a real life convo than 16 bars.
Listeners are taken on a journey driven by a smooth melody that’s reminiscent to countless southern classics, as the two Atlanta natives kick some authentic talk about the struggle. Credit that to DJ Burn One and Texas production team Beanz N Kornbread, who must have listened to Outkast and UGK prior to producing this record. Yes, it’s that smooth.
As if “Conversations On That Brown” wasn’t enough, Scotty also dropped a visual with iNDEED out of Burn One’s Five Points camp for a record called “Crown Royal.” Be sure to click the following page to check that out. Get some good game from the ATLiens below.
