A Chicago man is in police custody after being caught growing marijuana in his home above a pre-school.
50-year-old James Pastman was arrested Tuesday after a dog barking caught police’s attention. When police went to investigate they detected the strong smell of weed and knocked on Pastman’s door.
He admitted to growing the product and directed police to his plant collection. He’s being charged with felony manufacturing and delivering within 1,000 feet of a school.
The pre-school has yet to report any incidents with the cannabis and the students.
