A 5.2 earthquake shook the Cayman Islands this morning 600 miles from the devastation in Haiti.

The Associated Press reports that a 6.2-mile deep quake hit at 9:23 a.m., 40 miles from George Town, Cayman Islands.

While there are no reports of injuries so far the quake is believed to have toppled power lines and caused damage.

Just yesterday a 6.0 earthquake rocked the Pacific coast of Guatemala near the border with El Salvador.

The quake which was centered about 60 miles southeast of Guatemala city, was felt in El Salvador but only caused minor shaking in windows and buildings.
There are no reports of any injuries so far.
