The rumors are flying that Roc Nation rapper J. Cole and Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs got into a fight last night. The scuffle allegedly went down at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty at The Dream Hotel in New York City.
The story, for now, is that Diddy and Cole traded words and eventually started scrapping. The two were separated, with Cole being escorted out of the hotel by security. VIBE reports that the party was sponsored by Diddy and Jay Z and their respective adult beverage brands, Ciroc and Dusse, respectively.
Did Cole tell Diddy to step his struggle bars up? Did Diddy tell Cole to stop hating on the brown skin coalition? No one knows because despite the Twitter world chattering about this rumble, the only evidence supporting that an altercation actually happened are a couple of stray tweets, which you can peep on the following pages.
UPDATE (August 26, 8:20 p.m.): Diddy dropped a quasi-confirmation that he at least exchange words with Cole, tweeting, “I usually don’t address rumors but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends. We just yell in public sometimes LOL #Fam.”
Oh.
