Hold the phone. In a year that could already be considered a sneakerhead’s dream if it ended tomorrow, connoisseurs will have the opportunity to cop another gem December 28 when the widely heralded Air Jordan 1 “Bred” releases.
This is the infamous sneaker that started it all; the very same one that the NBA banned Michael Jordan from wearing in 1985. Pair the kicks’ rich history with its fashionable silhouette, and you can understand why many rank it high on their lists of top Jordans of all time.
A deep red can be found on the toe box, Nike sign, heel cap, and sole. The remainder of the shoe is black, with exception to a icy white midsole. “Nike Air” will also be on the shoe’s tongue, so you know it’s real.
