Rick Ross discussed plans to expand Maybach Music Group when we spoke to him at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Today, we see said news materialize as the label announces their latest signee, Fat Trel.
The Washington, D.C. native joins a roster that includes close friend Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Rockie Fresh, and Omarion. Trel’s signing to the house that Ricky Rozay built has been rumored since the rapper alluded to the news on Twitter mid-summer.
This is actually one of two big announcements the Internets can expect from the growing camp. “Favorite this tweet now. 2 new huge signings to MMG being announced today. Check in 6p est for 1st announcement and 8p for 2nd announcement!,” read a tweet on MMG’s Twitter account.
Fat Trel is officially signed to WaleMusic/MMG/Atlantic Records. Look out for news on the next new MMG artist in a hour or so.
