Drake and his dad had better bring it.

The rapper’s father, Dennis Graham recently let the cat out of the bag that he and his son had recently recorded something.

With Drake being the latest rapper to go platinum and his father’s Memphis music roots taken into consideration, the pairing should be harmonious to say the least.

But it won’t be the first time a father and son team up for a rap record.

Granted, most (credible) rappers aren’t that old so recording a song with one of their offspring would generally result in some bars of babbling. Yet, over the years, there have been a smattering of notable family reunions for rap fans to cherish.

While we don’t know the caliber of song the Graham’s are going to submit to the world, we do know that nine out of the ten choices for The 10 Best Father & Son Rap Collaborations made their way onto an actual album.

How’s that for caliber? Enjoy the list.

Ghostface Killah ft. Raekwon, Sun God, Trife da God, Method Man, Cappadonna – “Paisley Darts”

There was no need to scream nepotism here. GFK’s “Sun” proved he could keep up with the Clan’s best members.

Peter Gunz & Cory Gunz – “#IFWT Freestyle”

Peter Gunz has been busy soiling his reputation with LHHNY but he could still get busy on the mic if need be.

Tha Broadus Boyz (Snoop & Sons) – “70s Hippie Smoke”

Cordé and Cordell were just a snag in their father’s French braid during the Hippy era but they seemed to inherit his swagger on tracks.

Big Boi ft. Bamboo – “Bamboo (Interlude)”

Lil’ Daddy Fat Sacks was just a toddler when he hit the booth but his attempt to pay Michael Jackson royalties will forever be timeless.

Nas ft. Olu Daru – “Bridging the Gap”

A classic example of a successful culture clash. Musically and aesthetically.

E-40 Ft. Kendrick Lamar & Droop-E – “Catch a Fade”

Anytime a father and son duo can give you a physical beatdown and then rap about it, you know you done Bill Duke’d up.

Common ft. Lonnie “Pops” Lynn

Lonnie Lynn Sr. has always made it a tradition to close out Common’s albums with some hearty food for thought.

Kendrick Lamar ft. Anna Wise, Mr. & Mrs. Duckworth – “Real”

Speaking of fatherly words of wisdom, Kendrick’s pops may have saved the life of the fictionalized version of himself on this gem.

Ice Cube Ft. Doughboy, OMG, Maylay & W.C. “Ya’ll Know How I Am”

The younger Jackson boys haven’t made any music in recent memory but this cut garnered respect on the Left Coast.

Lil Wayne ft. Big Tymers – F*ck You

Who said family had to actually share blood lineage? Weezy has been stuntin’ like his daddy since day one. And there’s not doubt that his son will do the same.
