While it seems like the Wu-Tang Clan won’t be seeing any revenue from an album anytime soon, the hustle doesn’t begin and end with the music.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), DC Shoes has partnered up with the Shaolin swordsmen to release an exclusive line of gear.
The Clan’s motto has always been “rugged and raw” and the DC Shoes products built off said motto to honor the nine-man collective.
A New York winter can be a brutal experience and a heavy wool peacoat makes for the perfect combatant. From the stitching to the Wu logo scribed on the buttons, everything has been tailor-made to mirror a true Hip-Hop image. Also available are leather boots and a New Era cap embedded with the Killer Bee insignia.
“The Wu-Tang Clan and their first album had an enormous influence on our culture and our brand,” said Jeff Taylor, Senior Vice President of Global Brand and Marketing for DC Shoes. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Wu-Tang on this exclusive footwear and apparel collection and celebrate an album that continues to inspire.”
“We’re hyped to be working with DC. They’re pioneers in the shoe industry just like Wu-Tang are pioneers in the music and street wear game,” added Oliver “Power” Grant, Executive Producer of “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).” “In honor of the “skate life” on the anniversary of both these homegrown giants, it made perfect sense to collaborate and celebrate with DC.”
The products are available in limited availability, meaning it is first come, first serve. Hit the gallery to get a closer look at the threads and visit DC/Wutang.com to purchase the items.
