FILA will deliver another classic release before year’s end. This time, the classic Grant Hill 2 silhouette that he wore during a gold medal Olympic run will return to shelves.
Now coined the FILA ’96 (yes, the shoe Tupac made popular), these will be the latest sneaker in the brand’s catalog to receive the retro treatment. Expect this release to slightly differ from the original. The patent leather piping has been replaced with FILAbuck material. The recognizable trapezoid logo also dons chenille, a la your 15-year-old high school varsity jacket.
That said, feel free to refer to the kicks as the “Varsity” as well. Sneakerheads will have an opportunity to cop the FILA ’96 on December 12 via retailers like finishline.com.
