With President Obama‘s fifth State of the Union archived on the Internets, does 2014 looks to be a “breakthrough year for America”?

The address certainly created a fire underneath the feet of many Americans. Obama’s hopeful rhetoric — a call-to-action for the end of certain inequalities in the workplace — is growing louder by the day. “I believe when women succeed, America succeeds,” the Commander-in-Chief said to a round of applause, shortly after calling the fact that women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes “an embarrassment.”

Forbes’ financial literacy website, NerdWallet, calculated just how much women made in 500 major metropolitan areas. So, while the fellas may still be saying, “It ain’t trickin’ if ya got it,” the ladies are out here “stackin’, tryna get it.”

Given these numbers, there is little overall doubt that women earn less. But we’ve found 10 locations where women earn the most, so if you’re about that money life you’ll want to plan your big move.
