Gary Oldman possesses the diversity to effectively pull off nearly every role thrown his way but that doesn’t mean he should cast his name in the mix to play Tupac anytime soon.
Besides the obviousness of minor details such as race and age not working in his benefit to channel the late Shakur, the 55-year-old actor flat-out just can not rap his way out of a nursery book reading.
While out in London promoting his new movie, the Robocop reboot, 958 CapitalFM’s Dave and Lisa conviced Mr. Oldman to try his hand at a rendition of Pitbull and Ke$ha’s “Timber.”
We give Mr. Oldman a nod for being a good sport when presented with such an odd and random request, but that’s where the props stop.
Put it like this. Mixing an English accent with a country twanged EDM song equals a gold-plated bar of audio struggle.
Thankfully the clip is quick so the pain should swiftly subside. Flip it over to the next page for a reminder on how the song is supposed sound.
