TV One’s award-winning Unsung franchise spotlights cherished musical acts, but what about Hollywood actors? Such is the case with Unsung Hollywood, whose first episode will be taking a look at the career of the indelible Pam Grier.
The “Queen of Blaxploitation” rose to stardom thanks to roles in classic films like Coffy and Foxy Brown. Her model looks and statuesque figure didn’t hurt her cause, too. The episode will deal with not only her role as a new-age action heroine in the 70s, but her overcoming of abuse to make it to stardom as well.
The debut episde of Unsung Hollywood goes down tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26 at 10PM/ET on TV One.
