Indianapolis police are searching for a woman after they say she forced her 5-year-old daughter to steal a purse at a local Chuckie Cheese restaurant.
Surveillance video shows a small girl who police estimate to be around 5-years-old, being instructed to take a woman’s purse by a woman in red.
The woman who’s purse was taken, Mandie Harrington, reported the theft to store management prompting them to play back the surveillance tape.
The video shows the woman in red with two little girls. She shows the 5-year-old where the purse is before the little girl takes it a man at another table.
The woman takes it, hides it under a coat and leaves.
Police do not believe this the first time the child has been promoted to steal.
