A popular event hall that hosted a concert for reggae star Sean Kingston has issued an apology to after he reportedly arrived late and walked off stage midway through his performance.

Kingston performed at Pennsylvania’s Sherman Theater Wednesday for a show arranged by East Stroudsburg University’s campus activities board.

The concert was running smoothly with performances from local rapper B.C. and rock group North of The City until it was time for Kingston to hit the stage.

Fans were reportedly outraged when Kingston arrived late and gave a less than stellar performance, eventually walking off stage.

According to The Pocono Record, the late headliner performed for around 20 minutes before becoming angry and declaring the concert over because of the theater’s poor sound system.

The Record says Kingston was leaving in a car behind the venue before being coerced into going back on stage and finishing his performance.

Obviously embarrassed and upset about the incident, the Sherman Theater sent an email message to the attendees of the botched show saying,

“Everyone on our team here at the Sherman was taken aback at both Mr. Kingston’s actions as well as his attitude toward both the venue and you, the fans. Unfortunately, we cannot control what a performing artist does or how well he or she performs while on (or off) our stage.”

The theater is now offering half-price tickets to concert attendees for upcoming April performances for the following shows:

April 1 — Jo Dee Messina: The Music Room Series

April 17 — Carmine Appice’s SLAMM

April 25 — One Night of Queen performed by Gary Mullen & The Works
