Solange may have taken a beating in the media for her feverish attack towards her brother-in-law Jay Z in a Met Gala elevator but she still found a great way to benefit from the struggle.

It is being reported that the singer has seen her digital sales rise a whopping 300 percent in wake of the melee.

Reports HipHopDX:

Solange’s digital sales saw a major spike following the footage leak of the singer attacking her brother-in-law, Jay Z.

Solange’s digital track sales saw a major increase on the week ending May 18, 2014, according to Nielsen SoundScan data HipHopDX has been given.

The Texas singer’s sales were at 2,000 for the week, up over the prior week’s total track sales of 600.

Both her and Jay Z accepted responsibility for the incident and promised it was behind them in a written statement, although it failed to detail what sparked the ruckus. There have been numerous speculative accounts on what prompted Jay Z to catch a family fade but nothing has been officially confirmed.

SNL spoofed the incident in their most recent episode and the leaked footage has even prompted criminal charges towards the individual who sold it to TMZ.

Solange’s last release was in 2012, via an EP titled True which was released on Terrible Records. Here entire discography can be found here.
